1. Who we are
MCQ Adda is an online MCQ practice platform for Class 12 and NEET students, accessible at mcqadda.in. When we say “we”, “us”, or “our”, we mean MCQ Adda and its operators.
2. What data we collect
Account information
When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored encrypted). We do not collect your phone number, address, or government ID.
Practice data
We store which MCQs you have attempted, your answers, accuracy, and time taken. This is used to power your dashboard and prevent repeat questions.
Payment data
If you purchase an MCQ pack, payments are processed by Razorpay. We store the order ID and pack details but never your card number or UPI credentials — Razorpay handles all payment data securely.
Usage data
We collect standard web logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to keep the platform running and secure. We do not sell this data.
3. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account
- To serve MCQs and track your progress
- To send you account-related emails (welcome, quota reset, referral rewards)
- To process payments and add MCQ credits
- To improve the platform and fix bugs
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
4. Emails we send
We send the following emails and nothing more:
- Welcome email — sent once when you sign up
- Quota reset notification — sent when your free MCQs refresh after 48 hours
- Referral reward notification — sent when a friend joins using your link
We do not send promotional newsletters or marketing emails.
5. Data sharing
We share your data only with the services that power this platform:
- Razorpay — payment processing
- Your web hosting provider — to run the website
We do not share your data with any other third party for marketing or analytics purposes.
6. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in and remember your referral code if you arrived via a referral link. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Your rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Request a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data
Email us at admin@mcqadda.in and we will respond within 7 working days.
8. Data retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Practice analytics may be retained in anonymised form.
9. Security
Passwords are stored using strong hashing. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payments are handled by Razorpay under PCI-DSS compliance. We take reasonable steps to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and notify you by email. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
